Charity Begins at Home or How Much is Enough

People understand greed.  Fallen human nature has always struggled with acquisitiveness. The excessive interest in acquiring money or material things has become synonymous with the American standard of success. The rapacious characters competing in the race to the top of the food chain in popular movies and their fall from grace used to be seen as a modern morality play, but as the restraint of Judeo-Christian values has waned, the old villains have become the new heroes.
Does it take some kind of amazingly clever genius to run a charitable organization? Are only the super smart and super blessed able to administer these large nonprofit corporations and religious mega church rip-offs? Are the supposedly gifted and talented CEO’s who claim elite status compensation worth the money? How do they reconcile such grand paychecks and privileged-class lifestyles with the pathetic dirt poor widows, orphans, maimed and starving victims depicted in their support ads?
We were moved to see the slobbering old Jewish widows in the International Fellowship of Christians and Jews TV ads until we saw the nearly $800,000. compensation package of the charity’s director.  The work of Samaritans Purse is often and justifiably lauded but Franklin Graham's million dollar compensation package raised serious controversy and was no doubt a detriment to their fund raising.  As president of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association and Samaritan's Purse, (Franklin) Graham received total compensation of $1.2 million last year. He was paid more than any other leader of an international relief agency based in the U.S. – including eight with larger budgets. Days after the Observer presented its findings, Graham said he would forgo future contributions to his retirement accounts and do without pay at BGEA.   Particularly egregious are the religious creeps exploiting the ignorant and fearful.  Here is a partial list of these acquisitive charlatans selling discount tickets to heaven and false hope.
My Bible says, β€œThe workman is worthy of his hire.” This means that someone who does work deserves to be paid for their labor.  Fair work should be compensated fairly. This begs the question: What is fair compensation?
Why does a single aspirin served up in some hospitals cost $25.? Does it have something to do with the head doctor’s $14 million  compensation package?  How many young families struggle to pay incredibly high medical costs (see graph below) or risk bankruptcy by going without the worlds most expensive health insurance?  The talking heads of main stream media were understandably shocked at the level of empathy many Americans felt with the recent murder of United Health Care’s CEO, but the frustration with our runaway  health care costs continue to be palpable. Take a look at the compensation packages of the leadership of these ostensibly charitable organizations, many of them health care executives, and decide for yourself. Nonprofit Compensation Packages of multi millions.

Focus your giving where the beneficiaries of your generosity get the maximum value you intended. The best organization we found that does it’s homework in rating nonprofits is Charity Watch. Their team of analysts and accountants look behind the facade of spurious claims and accounting slight of hand to grade each charity with fairness and objectively. Here is their list of F rated not-for-profit profiteers.  The elite squeal and cry socialism and envy when our youth protest against the equity gap between the have and the have-nots, but the increasingly skewed distribution of income and resources will continue to foment violence and hatred in our world and charitable giving can make a real difference. Focus your giving where it counts.  Bill Lami

Hypersonic and directed-energy weapons

Who has them, and who’s winning the race in the Asia-Pacific?

A poem by Major Michael Davis O'Donnel
-Vietnam1969

If you are able,/save them a place/inside of you/and save one backward glance when you are leaving/for the places they can/no longer go.
Be not ashamed to say/you loved them,/though you may/or may not have always.
Take what they have left/and what they have taught you/with their dying/and keep it with your own.
And in that time/when men decide and feel safe/to call the war insane, take one moment to embrace/those gentle heroes/you left behind

Everyone who has been paying attention knows the people's gold was collectivized during the 1930s under Roosevelt. However, few recognize that at the same time the credit of the people was also collectivized and collectivized credit restricts capitol formation, keeping the sheeple firmly in the grip of the master elite. Collectivized credit is an implementation of the fifth plank of the communist manifesto.
According to the Economist there is still 1 trillion in unspent Covid relief money supporting consumer spending right now, but, that may soon run out.  Commercial real estate loans have decimated large bank balance sheets and if not for modern accounting slight of hand the next great depression would be upon us.  "In Europe and America business bankruptcies are already rising; even companies that locked in low rates by issuing long-term debt will in time have to face higher financing costs. House prices will fall, at least in inflation-adjusted terms, as they respond to dearer mortgages."

The War on the Dollar

Last year Mel brought up the possibility of Germany & other NATO states aligning with the East. Tyler Durden, writing in Zerohedge reports: Germany Open To Idea West Behind Nord Stream Sabotage With "Aim Of Blaming It On Russia" What is responsible for the apparent erosion of trust in the US? The BRICS axis, which is often described as a powerful grouping of the world's leading emerging market economies, stands at the door ready to exploit the power vacuum created by the Biden administration's bumbling leftist socioeconomic chaos. The Russian Foreign Minister, Sergey Lavrov, has stated that β€˜over a dozen’ countries have formally applied to join the BRICS grouping... If accepted, the new proposed BRICS members would create an entity with a GDP 30% larger than the United States, over 50% of the global population and in control of 60% of global gas reserves.
In the past we got our bang for our bucks watching the greenback rule the world. But no more: enter Ukraine. The Ukraine war is not a military battle as much as a money war between the Dollar & the Russian/ Chinese commodity linked confidence package. Gas and gold are real. Biden promissory notes are becoming ethereal products of Biden's increasing dementia and profligate spending. The BRICS are building and the dollar is drowning. The debt clock still hasn't figured out the conversion to dollars on three major commodities still showing zero because if they let the algorithm loose the curtain might part and the flailing wiz would show his hand... Compare the western alliance’s fiat currency, deficit spending with the Russian-Chinese axis’s planned industrial revolution for some 3.8 billion people including the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) family. China has a remarkable savings rate, which will underpin investment capital for a rapid increase in Asian industrialization with little inflationary consequence.
