Hey Christian Sit Down and Shut Up

Meanwhile, around the world: Islam is the religion of peace and Christians just stir up trouble "Virtually every contemporary Western leader has expressed the view that Islam is a peaceful religion and that those who commit violence in its name are fanatics who misinterpret its tenets. This widely circulated claim is false." G.M. Davis
"Boko Haram sought to overthrow Nigeria’s secular government and in 2009 it launched an insurgency to establish an Islamic state, which has resulted in the deaths of tens of thousands of people and the displacement of over 2 million."  "Blessed are the peacemakers." Jesus
The biggest humanitarian crisis in the worldSudan has gold and hordes of desperate slave laborers to mine it.  Putin's Russian economy needs gold and is willing to supply either of the feuding Moslem generals with the deadliest weapons money can buy.  Iran needs gold to fuel its nuclear blackmail agenda and terrorist surrogate Jew hater program.  The peaceful farmers, Christian and otherwise, were once able to sustain the food needs of the population but now, the religion of peace has unleashed its holocaust plan toward the path of least resistance. "Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth". Jesus
The usual left-wing claptrap of America's home-grown church critics is wonderfully summarized in Jonathan Rauch's recent hit piece from Persuasion:  culturally divisive, aggressive tone, Trump turbocharged, mighty whitey Fox news fanatics, anti-intellectual zealots with a "battlefield mindset".  Aren't they giving doormat Christianity a bad name?  They just need to sit down and shut up.  Isn't that the clarion call of every would-be totalitarian master from antiquity?  Faith and family have always been the enemy of godless tyrants.
Is there no place for Luther's "Here I stand" stridency?  Was that for another age, another world or another topic?  The late Baptist preacher Adrain Rogers asked, "Did God ordain human government and then tell his people to stay out of it?"  Have we failed to remember how our forefathers in the not-to-distant past attempted to encourage our values, freedoms, and liberty around the world.?  Another great Christian thinker, Tim Keller, identified four key distinctives that should characterize a biblical Christian church. His list included: the church's pro-life advocacy, it's support for the poor, racial justice, and marital fidelity.  Our failure to address or even meaningfully acknowledge the holocaust of hate and death in Africa check all these boxes and show clearly the shame of our shallow commitment to Christ.  Where are the men of wisdom?
"Blessed are they that mourn for they shall be comforted." Jesus.  Please pray for the persecuted.

Sudan needs an imediate ceasefire between its warring factions, combined with international funding as well as free entry for aid to be delivered, otherwise it risks facing chaos and starvation. That's what Cindy McCain, the executive director of the World Food Programme told the BBC's Anne Soy.
