Could Trump Pick Up the Pieces in the Middle East

Only a few years ago there was a spark of hope for peace in the Middle East. The diplomatic outreach efforts of the Trump administration actively courted Saudi Arabia as the key player and catalyst for normalization of relations between Israel and it’s Arab neighbors. Trump, through his son-in-law Jared Kushner, had made significant progress in the peace process with Saudi leadership. Saudi Arabia and Israel quietly prepare ‘deal of the century

In August of 2020, Trump secured what sounded like a small but historic agreement between the countries of the United Arab Emirates and Israel which finally said Israel has a right to exist. "The countries have committed to the exchange of embassies and ambassadors, and to begin cooperation in a broad range of fields including education, healthcare, trade, and security."

Also, included in this surprising baby step toward rapprochement was an optimism that the shrinking Christian remnant in Lebanon and Egypt and the smaller Christian communities in Iraq, Jordan and Algeria might benefit in some small measure of increasing tolerance. Christianity Today quoted some of the the rhetoric of these latest hopeful visions and visionaries: “Fruitful and multiplying, changing Arab world, building bridges, reconciling communities and moving toward tolerance”. It sounded much like the strange echoes of the dialogue of Kissinger’s 1975 shuttle diplomacy along with the smiley faces and glad hands of the Oslo Accords; lots of false hopes and high fives, some of which actually made the six o'clock news for a few months in 2020. Oh happy day!

Oh nasty reality.   As Trump was voted out of office the optimism died. Saudis may stall on Trump's Middle East peace plan now he’s on the way out How did the world allow the reprise of discordant notes in this ancient hate? Mainstream media would like to frame your thinking of the current death and destruction in terms of offended minority Muslims, displaced Palestinians, religious prejudice and economic injustice; a thin veneer of rationalizations against the resurgent ancient undercurrents of hatred for the Jews.

Nowhere will you find the Biden / Harris bumblers taking responsibility for the mass deaths of 40,000 people and devastation we have today. The administration’s ham- handed peace makers represent a panoply of tired ideas and bully tactics. Who will step up?   Watered down Christianity in the image of the old World Council of Churches version of “why can’t we all get along” never transformed anything while the silly Pope offers the naughty or nice advice of Santa Claus. Add to the cast secular Jews who believe in nothing, (27% claim no religion at all), or the globalist Jews exemplified by George Soros and Howard Horowitz, utterly confusing the ambitions of their own people with a mad vision of a dystopian/ utopian world government.

Add to the mix liberal Muslims, if such a group could even exist, whose function is to provide cover for Iran’s proxy butcher sect of Islam.    Just remember, Islam means peace but Hamas and Hezbollah have been happy to carry on Hitler’s extermination program by massacring 1200 Jews on October 7 just to cap off a history of their many other atrocities. The other meaning of the word Islam is “surrender” and there is ample evidence that a toothless administration headed by a toothless old man and his clueless VP have indeed surrendered.   Biden Sought Peace but Facilitated War - NY Times
